Learn to Nordic Walk
Nordic Walking is an accessible and engaging form of exercise suitable for individuals of all fitness levels. As a qualified Nordic Walking Instructor with over a decade of experience, I offer the award-winning Learn to Nordic Walk course in Salisbury, tailored specifically for beginners. This course comprises two lessons, each lasting 1.5 hours.
In the first lesson, you will learn the essential techniques of Nordic Walking. This includes understanding how to use the poles effectively to generate forward propulsion, engaging the appropriate upper body muscles, and mastering correct gait and coordination. Additionally, you will learn to properly grip the poles and use the pole straps, which is vital for developing an effective technique.
The second lesson focuses on adapting your body position and pole angles for varied terrains, such as up and down hills. You will also work on increasing your walking speed by refining your technique, grasping how your body responds to exercise, and learning to exercise within your optimal training zone. This lesson emphasises the importance of distance, speed, and terrain in optimising your Nordic Walking experience.
The course fee is £45.00 per person for small group sessions (maximum of six participants) or £80.00 for one-on-one instruction at a time that suits you. Attendance at both sessions is required to complete the course.
